SOS Recovery Community Organization is an initiative that is spreading like wildfire. They are welcoming to the LGBTQI community and are open to starting up new initiatives that reach out to LGBTQI persons in recovery.
The mission of SOS Recovery Community Organization is to reduce stigma and harm associated with addictive disorders by providing safe space and peer based supports for people in all stages of recovery.
They have offices in Durham, Dover and Rochester
Fenway Health’s Behavioral Health Department offers counseling and support groups designed to help with addiction issues, especially for people who are lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender.
The Rochester Community Health Center exists to ensure the effective and efficient delivery of person-centered support for individuals with alcohol, drug addiction, and mental health challenges, to promote the whole health and resiliency of the residents of the greater Rochester community. They are opening and affirming to the LGBTQI Community.
